Assisting law enforcement
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Camly is operated by Streamworks Media Limited (Cyprus). We cooperate with police, prosecutors and regulators where the law requires it, while protecting our users’ privacy. This page explains how.
1. 1. How authorities contact us
Requests from authorities go to support@camly.dk with the subject “Law enforcement request” or through the contact page. A request must come from an official email address, state its legal basis and specify exactly which data is sought (username, time span, content). We acknowledge receipt within two business days.
2. 2. What we can provide
Every streamer on Camly is identity- and age-verified. Depending on the legal basis we can provide account data (name, email, creation date, IP logs), the reference to the identity verification, the chat archive (12 months), transaction overviews and content still present on the platform. We provide only what the request covers.
3. 3. Legal basis and review
We disclose data on the basis of a court order, a production order or an equivalent lawful request from a competent authority in the EU/EEA or from a country with a valid mutual legal assistance agreement. Voluntary disclosure happens only where there is an imminent risk to life or of serious harm. Each request is reviewed individually by the person responsible for compliance.
4. 4. Emergencies
Where there is an imminent risk to a person’s life or safety we handle requests around the clock. Mark the email “EMERGENCY” and describe the danger and the data that could avert it.
5. 5. Preservation
On request we can preserve specific data for up to 90 days while a formal request is obtained. A preservation request does not grant access to the data.
6. 6. Child sexual abuse material
We remove suspected material immediately, preserve evidence and report to NCMEC and to the relevant police. Here we do not wait for a request.
7. 7. Notifying users
As a rule we notify the affected user, unless the law or the authority prohibits it, or notification would endanger a person or harm an investigation.
8. 8. Transparency
We publish the number of government requests received and complied with in our periodic transparency report.
